TENS and TENS jr. updated
Friday, December 1, 2023
First updates for both TENS and TENSjr. are available now
The TENS update includes the following changes:
-
FIX: the knobs in the modulation panel didin't reflect changes of the knob mode in the global settings
-
FIX: in ProTools occasionally the mix parameter value hasn't been applied correctly, when reloading sessions
-
due to popular request
double-click on a knob now resets the knob to its
default value
- alt-click to reset a knob is still working too
- right-click on a knob to enter values directly
The TENS jr. update fixes these issues:
-
the mac installer accidentally deleted previous installations of
MJUC jr.
-
when using the internal bypass on a mono->stereo
instance, the signal was only audible on the left
channel
TENS and TENS jr. released
Tuesday, November 28, 2023
After 3.5 years of development Klanghelm's first
reverb-plugin TENS has been finally released. TENS has been
modeled after the range of high-end studio spring reverbs
from a famous Austrian company introduced in the 1970s to
early 1980s. A free little brother named TENS jr. is
available as well. Due to the unique design principles used in
this reverb range, it has its very own sound and is greatly
different from traditional spring reverbs found in guitar
amps or synths. With its very dense and organic character it
might be the missing link between plate and traditional
spring reverbs in terms of sound character.
TENS provides extensive modulation capabilities to add
movement or out of this world sounds. Each continuous
parameter can be modulated by an LFO or envelope follower.
The envelope follower also offer external sidechaining. The
modulation section enables TENS to achieve e.g. chorus,
vibrato, tremolo, phaser-like effects or combinations of
these. The envelope follower can be used e.g. for ducking or
shaping the dynamics.
The Metallic, Whoosh and Tension controls enable the user to
deeply alter the character of the actual reverb model. The
range of decay/reverb times has been extended to 200
milliseconds - 40 seconds.
Furthermore, an amp section is included to add some
additional flavor or to drive the reverb into full
distortion.
From small, claustrophobic room-like reverbs to large
evolving ambient spaces - everything is possible.
TENS costs 24€.

compressor has been release. As with previous Klanghelm
releases, there's a free little brother too. The new
compressor consists of three very different variable-mu
compressor models, offering a wide range of tube compression
implementations and also a modern new approach on this
topology. MJUC is the first Klanghelm plugin, that's been
coded with a new framework. It imparts a lot of new
usability features, such as GUI-resizing, finally a decent
preset browser with save/copy/paste/save-as-default
functionality, A-B-ing, customizable knob-behavior and more.
These features will find their way to the existing Klanghelm
